Adobe Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) - Developer
Job Summary
We are looking for a specialized Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) Developer to lead the technical implementation and configuration of our cross-channel analytics platform.
You will be responsible for transforming raw data residing in the Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) into actionable insights within CJA.
This role involves configuring connections, defining complex data views, creating derived fields, and ensuring that our data architecture supports robust, omni-channel reporting. You will bridge the gap between data engineering and business analysis.
Responsibilities
Create and manage Connections in CJA, ensuring the correct selection of datasets from AEP (web, app, call center, POS, etc.) and proper handling of person ID linking.
Architect and build Data Views, defining the specific dimensions, metrics, date ranges, and filters required for business reporting.
Configure global settings, session timeouts, and currency localization within Data Views.
Develop Derived Fields to transform data on-the-fly, creating new dimensions and metrics without altering the underlying schema.
Implement complex Calculated Metrics to support advanced KPI tracking.
Ensure proper mapping of XDM schema fields to CJA components, troubleshooting any type mismatches or "unknown" values.
Collaborate with AEP Architects to ensure the underlying Identity Graph is optimized for CJA "Stitching."
Validate that cross-device and cross-channel journeys are stitching correctly (e.g., linking anonymous web traffic to known call center interactions).
Work closely with AEP Developers to define XDM Schema requirements that support future reporting needs.
Migrate legacy Adobe Analytics (SDR) logic into the CJA environment.
Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in Digital Analytics implementation.
Proven hands-on experience configuring Adobe Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) (setting up Connections and Data Views).
Deep expertise in Adobe Analytics (Analysis Workspace, Processing Rules, VISTA rules equivalent logic).
Strong understanding of Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) concepts: XDM Schemas, Datasets, and Identity Service.
Proficiency in SQL (specifically AEP Query Service) to inspect raw data and troubleshoot issues.
Understanding of data layering, event serialization, and sessionization logic.
Ability to translate business questions (e.g., "What is the conversion rate of users who called support?") into technical configurations.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Clear communication skills for documenting technical configurations (SDRs/Tech Specs).
