
Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) - Architect
Job Summary
We are seeking a strategic Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) Architect to lead the design and implementation of our customer data strategy.
In this role, you will define the end-to-end architecture of our Real-Time Customer Data Platform (RTCDP), creating the blueprint for how data flows from source systems into AEP and activates downstream to engagement platforms like Adobe Journey Optimizer.
You will serve as the technical authority, bridging the gap between business requirements and technical execution, while ensuring scalability, governance, and performance of the data foundation.
Responsibilities
Define the overall solution architecture for the Adobe Experience Platform, ensuring seamless integration with the broader Adobe Experience Cloud ecosystem and enterprise tech stack.
Lead the strategy for Data Modeling by designing extensible XDM Schemas that support current business needs while allowing for future scalability across channels.
Design the Identity Resolution strategy, determining appropriate Identity Namespaces and complex Merge Policies to ensure a singular, accurate 360-degree customer view.
Architect real-time and batch data ingestion patterns, selecting the optimal connectors and APIs to handle high-volume data throughput with minimal latency.
Establish data governance frameworks, including Data Usage Labeling and Policy Service configurations, to ensure compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and internal privacy standards.
Translate business use cases into technical specifications for segmentation, defining how Real-Time Customer Profiles will be utilized for personalization in Adobe Journey Optimizer.
Provide technical leadership to developers and data engineers, conducting code reviews and validating that implementation aligns with architectural best practices.
Collaborate with enterprise stakeholders to map data lineage and ensure the solution supports cross-functional goals across marketing, sales, and analytics.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience in MarTech architecture, Data Engineering, or Solution Architecture, with at least 3 years focused on Adobe Experience Cloud.
Expert-level knowledge of Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), including deep understanding of RTCDP, Data Science Workspace, and Intelligent Services.
Proven experience designing complex data models (XDM) and identity graphs for large-scale enterprises.
Strong proficiency in cloud architecture principles (AWS, Azure) and how they integrate with SaaS marketing platforms.
Demonstrated ability to lead technical workshops, document solution designs (Visio/Lucidchart), and communicate architectural decisions to C-level stakeholders.
In-depth knowledge of data privacy regulations and security best practices for handling PII.
Adobe Experience Platform Architect certification is strongly preferred.
