Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) - Business Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking a strategic Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) Business Analyst to bridge the gap between our marketing stakeholders and technical engineering teams.

In this role, you will be responsible for translating high-level business objectives and marketing strategies into detailed functional data requirements for the Real-Time Customer Data Platform.

You will facilitate workshops to define use cases, document data lineage, and ensure that the implemented solution accurately supports the segmentation and personalization goals of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for customer data unification and activation.

  • Translate business use cases into detailed functional specifications, including data mapping definitions and audience segmentation criteria.

  • Work with Architects to map business data points to Experience Data Model (XDM) fields, ensuring all necessary attributes for marketing campaigns are captured.

  • Define and document the logic for high-value audience segments and real-time triggers required for downstream activation in Adobe Journey Optimizer.

  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions, creating UAT plans and verifying that the delivered solution meets the original business requirements.

  • Assist in defining data governance and privacy policies by identifying sensitive data fields that require specific labeling or usage restrictions.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation using tools like Jira and Confluence, including user stories, process flows, and data dictionaries.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders during the development lifecycle, managing expectations and clarifying requirements for the technical team.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, specifically within Marketing Technology (MarTech), CRM, or Customer Data Platform (CDP) projects.

  • Strong functional understanding of Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) concepts, including Real-Time Customer Profile, Identity Service, and Segmentation.

  • Experience writing clear and concise user stories, functional requirement documents (FRDs), and business requirement documents (BRDs).

  • Ability to analyze data structures and perform basic data validation using SQL or Excel to ensure requirements are feasible.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.

  • Experience with Adobe Analytics or Adobe Journey Optimizer is a significant advantage.
